Campus Inks Virtual Internship enters week 4! It has been a thrilling first half of the internship. We are teaching our 100+ Interns the ropes and watching them grow tremendously. This week we had Sean Ellenby Campus Inks Director of NIL Marketing and Communications give some insight into his work.
Sean provided students with the knowledge behind building a brand on the rise. Working on NIL he shows the importance of marketing and understanding the demographic. Building his customer and fan experience working in sports & public relations post-grad. Finding himself consumed in the world of college sports allowed him to further succeed within NIL.
Sean urges " The brand doesn't matter if you can’t connect to your audience". Having strong customer relations and connections can lead you to a thriving brand. Build credibility and allow the perception of your brand to be built in a positive light. Understand your brand goals, so research and gain knowledge of your brand and audience. Be ready to express knowledge, educating can take you far and connect you with outside sources that can drive brand awareness.
Sean left the students with advice that has allowed him to be passionate about his work.
"Every “yes” opens a new door" Use your resources, network, or connections to further yourself.
“You miss 100% of the shots you never take”. Build “social equity” & be good people.
"DO WHAT YOU LOVE. FIND YOUR PASSION."
Our Virtual Summer Internship at Campus Ink continues to educate students and help them find avenues to success. Stay tuned for the rest of the summer!
